Default Fioroni clutch on a Losi 2.0 B

Hi Guys, I did post a similar question some time ago but I think i just confused myself & every one who read it.

In simple terms I want to run a Fioroni turbo clutch on my 2.0 B with a standard 13 tooth clutch bell not the standard Losi bell
from what i can see i need the FIO OT FR51 which pushes the shoes 2mm forward which i would have thought would aid the mesh.

There must be someone out there running a Fioroni turbo clutch on a standard clutch bell??

To run the standard bell, you would need this engine mount to move the engine forward. Losi also makes one but I like the Kings Head one better. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ge-Motor-Mount

The King Headz mount would allow you to run a standard bell with the FR50. Question is, why would you want to? Losi bells work just dandy with the fioroni clutch.

I do have the Fioroni adjustable engine mount so i have plenty of adjustment
Wanted to run a standard bell rather than a Losi bell due to cost of bearings & standard bells more readily available
Can you guys tell me your exact fioroni flywheel type & collet you are using on your 2.0 B
Fioroni kit hard to get hold of over here in the Uk so will need to get from 'amain' so dont want to waste time getting the wrong kit
Thanks agian guys

I run the FR70 clutch kit on my losi's with losi clutch bells. You can use it with a standard bell but you will need to flip your mount to the forward position. I run the black carbon shoes with 1 hard and 2 regular(medium) springs.

Thanks jamminkrazy
Is that with the Losi collet? also did you need to file the end of the collet to stop it poking through the flywheel to enable you to tighten the flywheel nut down fully?

I use a standard Novarossi style collet that is filed down like you described. You can use a losi collet, but the Novarossi style ones have a better fit. You will need a shim behind the collet if you use a losi one.

That combo is exactly the same as the FR70 kit I linked above. The FR70 is just a combination of the FR50 flywheel and FR52 clutch shoes in one package. Great clutch!
