Yeah. Wow! Another +1 for velcro.

I'm looking for a LiPo for my starter box and was wondering if a 30C (40C max) battery wouldn't be too much for Tamiya connectors?

Also is 2450mAh enough for two race days?

My protek is 2200 and lasts 4 race days. You would do yourself a world of justice to replace all your wires with Deans Wet noodle, and switch your plugs to the large deans also. Cost about $12 and will outlast your motors and handle anything you can plug into it.

I don't use any low voltage device, just charge the battery once and a while and of course, I stop using it when I notice a power drop.

Just give it some charge on down time during the race day or the day before. I top off my starter box lipo almost every time I use it but it does not take long seeing its already about 4v per cell or more usually.

Seen a ofna blue box go up in flames last week end, In a hurry during a race the pit man was trying to start the car and the wheel was hitting the chassis when spinning and the extreme load went back through the battery and bingo, flaming finish to the race, melted the switch and spring loaded contacts too

For 1 car morning practice, 2 quals and a main you need 1000-1500mah depending on how much it takes to start your engine. I use 3300+ because I UAE to use the same box for 2 cars and then starting other racers cars well I ran out of juice with a 2200. 3300may has been plenty. So for 2 days I would say you need 3000mah +. As for the tamiya connector it's fine. I got lazy on my last box and just used an adapter to deans as the battery was already wires with deans.

A low voltage beeper is not necessary. You will know 100% when the lipo dumps nd it will still be above 12.4 volts just stop using it when the motors slow down. Believe me you can tell if you pay attention.

The flywheel was turning over but the wheel was hard up on the side of the chssis and he just kept on trying as the driver was the race leader, the plug was shot but he learned a very good lesson, car dont start find the problem and dont just keep humping it on the box ( well dead box now )
