also dont get anything but a 21. 28 are to much and gas hogs. what is your price range on a engine? you can get an ofna JL 21 for 175 (i think) on nitrohouse.com and that engine will fly.
yea that engine is just about my price range ($200 and under mostly) and yea man the D8T has an amazing price right now

Get the alpha engine maybe. Look at the ofna jl, the werks b5 the jammin jpx .21 or the odonnell .21. Dont get a .28. You will get horrible run times!

How much power do you want? I mean if you want lots of power you can get it.

+1 any of those engines are awesome, i have no experience with the B5 and have only seen one run and it seemed slow compared to my Alpha . however i hear nothing but good things about that engine. i have a JPX 21 and that engine is amazing, but a pain in the butt to break-in and it doesnt break-in fully until about the second gallon. i have 7-8 gallons on mine and its a back up now. also if you get the JPX send me a PM and ill send you pics of the carb fix that needs to be done. the JPX is the eisiest engine to tune. the OD 21 is great and you canNOT beat the odonnell customer service, i have an OD buggy and i can tell you if you have a problem Steve Odonnell himself will do everything he can to help you out. now on the JL i dont have any experience with it but i have seen alot run and that thing is crazy fast.

but IMO you canNOT beat an Alpha, the price is great and the power is unreal. also i looked up the rebuild kit for one, piston, sleeve and rod is all for less than 90 bucks i think. thats less than any of the other companies.

Get a Werks b5, enough said. Look at the werks engine thread, find support like that for any other engine on RCT. Find support like that from the owner of the company. B5 has great power, great torque.

considering that the owner of alpha is over seas... we wouldnt understand a thing he said on rct...

Alpha engines have TWO!!! great supporting companies... Trackstar RC and RC Pro Products... Carlton and Jimmy Know what they are doing...

so before you go spouting off your mouth why dont you pay attention to the alpha/trackstar rc thread... there is 2 factory rc pro drivers that are always online willing to help Jason Branham from xray and Jimmy Wright From TRF!
dont forget track support help like Ryan Lutz who has helped me figure out these motors! he took the time to not only help me tune it, but showed me what he was looking/feeling/listening for!

As far as people who get werks engines for free???? never saw a factory team driver with a werks sponsorship here in cali! but a lot of people run the motors!
