A few years back I ran the v spec with a jp2 pipe and loved it. I was running buggy and was getting 10 min. of runtime and plenty of bottom end. I cant remember what insert I had in though. If I were to take a guess I would say I was running a 7mm insert. Don't run no insert at all I hear it doesn't run as good and your fuel mileage goes way down.

blue and red are different size restrictors, i believe blue is 8 and red is 9 but i could be wrong. Put a 7mm restrictor or smaller, the vspec has plenty of power, i ran 6.5 n mine in truggy and had plenty. If thats your only pipe choice its ok, its a fuel hog but it works on the vspec. the best pipe ive tested on a vspec is a ae 2035. Even the os pipes couldnt match runtime or power i got with the 2035 but thats my opinion

well i dont run the o.s. but i would say a 6.5 or 7. The more bottom end you can get the better since its not open you wont be using the top end. So you will be getting more bottom end while saving fuel.

I am running a SPEED with the JP2 pipe, and from memory mota has the
8mm(anodized red) restrictor in,which would be the plastic RED one
that comes with the normal V-spec, And yes i love the SPEED/JP2 combo..

Ryan Maifield ran the AE 2035 on his OS speed before he went to the Reedy engine.

not really sure on exact run times, we run 6min races, and probably
have approx 1/4 tank left, mota temps round 110-115(230-235.F),so
prob get 8min,maybe 9min,depends how hard i am on trigger....

I would think it would work but ive never ran a speed. When i ran os i did have everything speed BUT the crank in my vspec and i ran the 2035,great power and run time with a 6.5 res in a truggy. At nitro challenge i let someone use a 2035 on his new vspec, he was using some jp pipe i dont remember what one and he likes the 2035 a lot more. I tuned it before and after and he loved it

. I wish speeds were not so expensive i would run those, i loved the vspec but hated the longevity, they speeds had the correct fixes to make it last longer. I am running the jx .21 and it tunes a lot like my vspec did, we will see if it lasts like my novas did

Yes the 2035 is great on the speed. I run that pipe on my buggy and truggy speed motors. I can go 10 min easy in the truggy with the 8mm restrictor.

2035 is a pretty good pipe on the speed. Not as good as the 2060, but you can also have like 3 2035's for the price of one 2060. Good cheaper alternative to the 2060 is the losi RE10. It is NOT the same pipe as the 2060(common misconception), but it does perform closely to the 2060.
