Default HELP!! Buggy won't start!!

About 3 weeks ago my buggy went WOT and then wouldn't start. I found out the "problem" was that the threads in the head button where the glow plug screws in was stripped.

I finally got a new head button today and the engine won't fire. It is turning over, though. I checked the glow plug and the ignitor. All checked out fine. I put brand new fuel in it and primed it (put my hand over exhaust) and it wouldn't start up.

I couldn't think of what it could be so I decided to set the needles about where they were on my stepdad's Savage when he got it: almost all the way open. I did that and was going to tune it once it fired but, yet again, it gave me hell.

I think I need a new engine.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Rob

everytime i got a no start this is what i did.

1. open the glow plug, check the glow plug

2. pull the engine a few time; in case u flooded the engine.

3. install the glow plug

4. prime it nicely, i.e blow the exhaust tube.

5. put a few drops of nitro in your carb.

6. give it a try.

it always work for me... good luck.

The carb would be in the opening after removing the glow plug right? I did everything you said except put fuel into the carb and still nothing

carb (crburator) is where your air filter attached to, remove the air filter n you'll see the opening...

if the plug was loose and the motor went lean it could have damaged the motor. did your take the motor apart and inspect the internals?

These are threads that irritate the hell out of me, if your glow plug and everything else are fine then 9 times out if 10 the problem is your TUNE! Come on people this is first week of owning a nitro stuff. Just because you tune your engine once doesn't mean it will hold that tune forever you need to stay on top of it, there are so many variables with a tune. THEY CHANGE FROM DAY TO DAY! And setting it the same as a savage engine will do nothing.. find the factory settings for the engine you're using and then set the engine to those settings.. this isn't brain surgery people.. there are like 10 posts like this every day, either use the search feature or give up and go electric.

That's the one that always gets me. But i figure it out quickly. My ignitor is awful so i got a new one. 35 bucks down the drain on the first one.
