DITTO what he said..... as long as the needles arent dam near falling out of the carb and its doing what its suposed to as far as performance and temps... run it.............. to many variables to have one size fits all needle settings on these little engines.......

OS plugs are great. They are shorter than most plugs = a little less compression, but you will never notice the difference. A3 (the old name) are also great in cold climate or low nitro percent.

ok, just one last thing From where do I start tuning if it won't run at the factory settings? Also the temps are in the 270s which seems high. I think I will try new fuel (although this stuff was new at the beginning of the summer) and I'll retest (third time) for airleaks.

Sometimes the factory settings are lean. Turn the HSn 1/2 turn out and run your engine. Now, it should run in a 4-stroke mode. Lean it 1/8 at a time just until the engine doesn't 4-stroke anymore. That's the perfect setting for the break-in.
