Default Short Course tires on buggies?

I saw that Traxxas just released officially licenced Kuhmo tires and already has the BFGoodrich tires, and I bet theyd look great on my buggy. The only problem is that I cant find any 17mm hub wheels for short course tires. Do they Even exist? Im also thinking of putting a Ford F-150 body on my buggy for a unique look, if i can get the wheels. If you could point me in the right direction thanks a lot

You *might* could make them work if you cut the bead out very carefully, but the short answer for your tire/wheel quest is "no". There are no 17mm hex wheels that accept a standard sc tire.

AKA does make a 5-spoke semi-realistic 17mm hex 'short course' intended wheel and Proline just introduced their Split-6 wheel for buggy. I'd use either of those and run the AKA Enduro tread pattern for a more realistic look.

The body is much easier...

Pick up an SC8 body from Team Associated and configure you some body mounts and ta-da problem solved there.

The SC8 rims are 17mm hexes, and may works for you.

Had total brain fade on that one. They're stepped like a regular shortcourse is so they may actually work.
