well from what other people say on here , the 7955 is stronger because the gears are titauim but i never strip steel gears out. the 7954 has about 300 oz of torque with 6v battery, even more with a lipo it says it can handle it.

as for the speed of the 7954 its fast enough if you ask me.

I run the Orion 2013 on Werks B5 also. The Werks 2013 was out of stock and i didnt realyl want to wait.

I agree with what every one has said so far, dont go cheap on the servos or you'll be buying them twice. I know, i tried the cheap route for a coupel years and once I installed my Hitec servos i never worried about them agian.

I have a 086 that I tried before I got the 2013. I think the 2013 has slightly more power all around. If you want to save some money with the 086, go for it.

what about the go 5 port engine? http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ine-Turbo-Plug

I'm trying to keep all options open. I want something easy to break in because I've never used a starter box and I dont want to mess anything up! I'm liking the werks and the alpha... First it was debating over the car, now its with the engine lol/

Anyways currently in my cart, I have the werks b5, orion 2013 pipe and 3 Odonnel 97t glow plugs all for $290 and some change including shipping after using a discount code. Good deal?

The Alpha was the easiest engine i have ever broken in!! all i did was take a hair drier to it and heated it to 180-200 degrees and it started no problem. all you have to do is back out the high speed needle 2 turns out from where it is out of the box and your set. i also had to turn the idle up 2 hours and it idled threw the tanks very easily.

VERY good deal. The B5 is a sweet engine. Italian quality and awesome performance. That GO isn't a bad engine, but the B5 is better IMO. If you're worried about break-in, read the second page of the Werks B5 thread in here. Ron the owner of Werks details his procedure for breaking the engine in. He gives you starting needle settings and a great run down of what to do. That kind of support can't be matched if you ask me. Do it!

Re: the starter box, I was going to buy the Losi 2.0 RTR starter box for my 2.0 T when I found in the Massive Mods site the GO starter box.

It is the exact same one that Losi use in the 2.0 RTR's.. so I bought one yesterday. Mounted my 12v7a cell in it & shes all good.
