Default Help me decide.

I'm new to nitro buggys. Can anyone tell me which is the better choice, Xray 808 09 spec or Team Losi 8ight 2.0 race roller? My local track has parts for both.

thanks

Edit: Oh, you said buggy, not truggy. lol.

I just made the switch from Losi 2.0 to Xray 808 2010. It turns even better and is more stable than my 8ight 2.0. The quality of the Xray is far above anything else. It's not just building the thing, it's the longevity of the plastic arms, etc. Xray uses superior plastics.

Xray parts are more expensive, but they last so much longer. I don't need to carry Xray spares like I did with Losi.

The Xray 808 '10 Spec is the best buggy out there right now. I have tried just about every one out there and the Xray is the best followed closely by the Mugen.

According to my friends who are jealous of my 2010 version, yes. The chassis is different, the bearings throughout are different. The chassis makes it more stable and the bearings are larger, which makes them last longer. I think there are other differences, too.

Yes there is a difference, most are very subtle compared to the 2009 version. I feel the car has more overall steering and it has much more traction coming out of the corner. It also jumps much better than the older car. If you are worried about parts, a lot of the 2009 parts are compatible. I never owned the older car, but I have driven it. I highly recommend the Xray over any other brand.

Well a mugen is a great buggy ide get it but a xray is more exspensive if ur new to buggy go with a cheaper buggy to fix cus they are the hardest to drive which means learning on a car that u dont care if it breaks is good thats why i would go losi cus they are great buggys and strong also parts are cheaper then a xray oe mugen but a xray is so light and if u dont know how to handle a buggy a xray will be a competition to just keep on the track i just got into xrays and they are hard comming from jammin buggys the diffrence is huge so if u got a deep pocket xray if u got a ah but it braks then a mugen but cheap is losi i personally havent broke my xray yet but parts arent cheap when it does break

Yea Xray all the way

main + on the 10

Longer Chassis-More stable specially on rougher tracks

Lands better and generally more stable on landing

More consistant over a race

Larger bearings ect..

And few small tweaks here and there

The 09 Is slightly faster over 1 lap basis but the 10 is alot more forgiving and consistent over a longer period. I run the 09 but have spoken a fair bit to Bren Ralls top UK Xray driver about the 10.. and those are his views on it. I will be getting the 10 spec upgrade once my 09 chassis needs changing.

The Losiís are very similar to the Xrayís apart from the parts quality and strengh is lower than the Xray. Plus the Losi gains slop by sitting still.. weak plastics!.. Go Xray.. and you will be very happy.. You need next to 0 spares too!! Join the Family!

longer chassi and some lil things but the chassi is really the only diffrence if u have a longer chassi it just makes it more stable but the chassi is only like 2mm longer which helps alot but if ur not like into 100% adjusting its no big deal

Default 09 or 10

There is a guy here selling his 09 brand new built with a nicely painted body for $515 shipped. I was just wondering if it is better to put out the extra $150 for the 2010 version
