Default Losi Mach 427 pictures and HELP please!

Can somebody please post close up pictures of their Losi Mach 427 engine on a 8ight of each side view?? I need to see two things, which way the carb ret. post goes and if you have a spring set up on your carb to assist on the return of the throttle (NOT the spring on the throttle linkages). I have seen a picture before where somebody had a spring that looks similar to the header spring wrapped around the carb to help return the throttle piston thing.

Reason I post all this is, one day I was out driving and lost my carb. ret post and I bought another one and I am not quite sure which way it goes. As of now I have the threaded end toward the exhaust pipe. And every time I drive, the vibration knocks it loos causing my whole carb to be loose. And YES I have tried loc-tite, let it sit over night, and still comes loose. Now I will note that I am in need for some O rings that go on the carb end that goes into the engine. Would that make this happen? Or am I doing something wrong?? Have it inserted the wrong way?? Or did I order the wrong carb ret. post all together?? Also, im not sure if the loose carb is causing this, but I can't seem to get my idle down, I turn the screw counter clock wise but nothing. But when I push in on the throttle linkage side it idles down (reason I may need the spring there)

Are you talking about the pinch bolt? If it's not staying tight, You may have bought the wrong one? See if you can order another one, they should go in either way left or right side, I'll look on my 350 the should be the same.

YES!! pinch bolt, thats it. But im searching for it and im only finding one for a Losi Nitrotech R21 and Losi 350 and 454. Will either of those fit my 427 .21 engine? And by looking at the pictures, it looks much different than the one i ordered

Hey Jeff just curious. Are you out of Houston, TX? Reason I ask is I had a buddy with that name that I have not seen in a while since I moved away from Houston.

pyro, thats the one I already have and is not working. by the looks of some pictures I have found of the motor it has one like that but the center of it looks kinda separated with threads, maybe to kinda "squeeze" in on the carb, holding it tight.

I cant post a link yet for some reason, but go to

ampdraw.com and beside part number type LOSR2228.

Would that one work for the Losi 427 engine??

.28?? Its not a .28 but I was wrong, it IS a .27 engine. I looked it up on losi web site

Im pretty sure the mach .28 will fit. I used the Mach .28 back plate on my 427 to covnert it to a bump start.
