easy change fuel line?
 

So its good to replace your fuel tubing every once and a while to make sure there is no leaks. But on my Losi 8ight fuel tank it is a pain to change fuel line because you have to pull out old fuel line completely out of tank and force new line into the tank, attach clunk filter inside the tank (pain) etc. So I found this little connector that supposedly is for a Hotbodies D8 that attaches to the fuel tank side and has a nipple that the fuel line easily attaches to, which seems to me like it would make it very simple to replace fuel hose.

What do you guys think? Would this work for my 8ight buggy??

ps. I have already ordered this so if nobody knows the outcome, I guess I will be the first to try, lol

If you look in your losi manual you will see a small right angled attachment that could be used for a quick change fuel line. This part is included with new losis. Not that i have looked although i have never seen anybody use one nor have i. Once you exchange your old line for new a couple times it becomes much easier. Its really not that bad and i suggest using the original method without the attachment.

Wet your new fuel tubing with fuel and it slides right into the tank.The fuel will evaporate and the fuel line will be secure in the hole.

on my old losi 2.0 i used the little elbow that came with it to have an easyy change fuel line

no, actually we take them off the hot bodies and run the line like the losi's do :lol:

its a nessicary evil to have clunk awesomeness. you dont have to change it that often anyways.

that tank adapter leaks like a sieve ;)

I might give it a try being that I already ordered it. if it leaks or dont work good I will go back the old way and try the fuel trick.

Having a clunk is a huge blessing. I would rather deal with changing the line than worrying about flamming out due to being on the lid too long.

I dont use it myself..I like replacing the line if need be.
I usually remove the old line ,backwash the clunk,blow it out with air.
I take a good length of new line and cut a about a 45deg angle in the end going in the tank...spray a tad of wd40 on it and start it and twisting and pushing at the same time....once its in about an inch or so use some needle nose to pull it thru...pull it out the filler hole ,cut the angle off flush, put the clunk on ,stuff it into the tank and adjust it accordingly sso it falls freely from top to bottom.
