If your radio gear can handle it(all spektrum stuff can), you can run direct unregulated lipo to those 7955's.

I'm not sure what dimensions the HB radio tray has. I'm pretty sure they are very tight. Someone that owns the HB could better answer that question for you.

Ok if the d8 isnt that great of a car than why is ty tessman able to have this"Lower level car" and still win? He is a good driver but he aint that good. Its a good car. You all are saying how big of losi haters we are, but maybe your a hot bodies hater. Most of you people that are slamming it have probably never had one.

Uh, you're a little late. We're kind of done with this debate.

and it was pretty tight but it fits in there.

While your at it pick up a pack or two of these http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...Bells-Shim-Kit
If you get the Werks B5 the stock D8T flywheel won't work unless you use some shims behind the collet.

does anybody know the chassis length for the Losi? Everywhere online says its 14mm longer. 14mm longer than what?

My point... is the Losi longer than the D8T? and if so, does it matter that much?

I think they're pretty close length wise. Coincidence? You decide.

They were both probably designed to fit ROAR rules, probably as long as possible. You can also adjust length slightly.

Basically on stormer hobbies, my cart is set at $779 with the D8T with the starter box, 2 hitec 7954 servos, an orion motor/pipe combo. I still need a battery but not worrying too much about that. I will have to build it slowly, about a month or so. Is paying that much worth it compared to just buying the 8T RTR?

Difficult decision, and you guys have a lot of valuable points which is making it even harder
