Default Tire Order

Anyone know where to get a good deal on tires if one orders 10-15 sets of tires?

I can't speak for your shop, but my LHS would gladly give a discount for a bulk order like that...probably in the range of 15%.

I like to support my local shop as much as I can...I bet you'd make some good "preferred customer" points with yours in the process.

i would agree, your lhs would be the best place to start......no matter what brand you are looking for...

I ordered 2-Pair of AKA Pre-Mount Truggy I-Beams and they wanted full list for them ($50 a pair) and I had to argue to get them down to 43 when you can buy them from Amain for $37.

When one can buy the same thing on ebay for $29.

Not trying to be prudish, but with AKA and Panther sponsoring every third driver in my local series, I have to do what I can to be able to put on new rubber as often as they are.

A Main's prices are TOUGH to beat. My LHS (Pacific Coast Hobbies) could not match their prices on Byron Gen2 fuel, but they were nice enough to offer a $2 discount. That being said, A Main will probably get you the best prices on 1 pair of tires or 20 pairs of tires. I'm sure A Main will work with you...try and give them a call: 1-800-705-2215 or try www.towerhobbies.com out. They offer a no-haggle bulk order discount on certain brands of tires. Hope this helps!

For example:

AKA City Blocks, 8 pairs: $113.36 ~ $14.17/pair vs. $19.99 everywhere else.

I hear ya there man... Same in my area also (AKA).. Its hard to keep up with the guys that put on new tires every time they go out on the track.. I have great equipment thats all top shelf but I just dont have in my wifes purse to buy a few sets of tires every week. I tried dipping into the kids school funds (once) and got my fingers chopped at the wrist! Ah! When I have new tires on I'm just a quick as the fast guys with new tires but I always have it in the back of my head (to save the tires) so I cant or dont allow myself to charge hard and risk roaching the tires sinse I'll be doinked in the mains or next week...

Your hobby shop should be more then willing to give you a deal . Mine gives their racers 10% off plus when I buy cars , motors , servos and ETC. the owner gives great discounts as he knows i will be back for more .

Unfortunately some shops would rather make a more off one customer then then spread out through a few customers .

Unfortunately the LHS around here has Stated " He doesn't give a puck about the racer's" And essentially tries to Gouge them in any way shape or form possible which leads to that particular racer never shopping there again plain and simple......Its a Sad Sad story....but its true.

They must not have their own track . I can`t see a shop that has a track be that way . But guess it is possible

they have a " track " if you could call it one.....Unmaintained blown out powdered dirt , 4x4 posts on the FLAT as Whoops, plywood on the side's of the jumps sticking up 3-4", lanes that are barely 6' wide, Jumps with no downsides and a Pylon Filled with Concrete to mark the loop...its pretty scary to tell you the truth.

jumps without a downside i will not do unless i have too. I ran at a track with big ramps and no downsides and it was very rough on my equipment. Did not break anything but it put alot of wear and i hate the sound of the chassis slapping the ground and god forbid you lawn dart it.

the other track i go to now has all downsides and table tops.

they sound like really nice people integra ***sarcasm***
