New to buggies
i was wondering what would be a good 1/8th nitro buggy for a newbie to buggies not to the sport. I was looking into the ofnas because i like their products and they have some affordable models. like the picco and the jammin x1x rtr. i really dont wana spend over 400 thanks. and this will be for track use only

You know i wanted to go the same route spend a little of money and try to get away with it but if you buy a cheap car your gonna end up spending more money in the long run. I wouldnt get the x1x. The x2 is out. If i were you id buy the losi 8ight 2.0 rtr. Its a great car. Decent motor, great remote, starter box the whole nine yards. Its a little more than you wanna spend but its worth it. If thats too much i would recommend to buy a used car here on rct. Ask the seller questions and find i ride you like. I wish you the best of luck.

the X2 is out now but that doesnt mean its better. i have owned and raced both and i can tell you the X1 is better!! easier to drive and not a pain in the butt to setup right. x1 is great but go with whatever you like more and never look back but stick to the big name companies.

hot bodies d8 for sure or maybe a jammin x1 but good luck finding parts for it but the d8 seems to have ups and downs one day it breaks the next it can be trashed and not break but the d8 is awsome i would really go with it or a losi for simple fact they are pretty stought, hobby shops always have parts, and they are by far comp capable
also if you buy used never buy engines used i have learned the hard way but if you can find a roller on rctech used then get urself some good servos and engine with a radio you will exceed 400 for sure but the best part is for example mugen, losi etc etc they are realy easy to find parts a hobby shop always has losi parts but if you buy a older model they will need internet order parts and when ur broke and the main is coming in 15 mins and you dont have a spare part its always good to have a car that you can find parts for at any track someone always has a losi at the track.

ya my buddy has the d8 and its awesome but i think it will cost a lot to get it up and running. and the losi is the one i want cause it comes with 2.4 and starter box but price. i have an ofna hyper 10 sc truck now and love it but you just cant go as fast as the buggies so i wana get into the faster class

honestly everythime ive seen a stock rc8 race they atleast break something a losi is strong and they will take a hard punch i personally have not drivin rc8 so im not saying they are junk i heard there off power steering is amazing and they handle really well but i know a rtr 2.0 is roughly 700 give or take where you buy it from but its worth it those stock engines are good running engines for a rtr they run real good the radio is used by pros so no dought its good the starter box is good i still use my truggy rtr box on my xray and the buggy is good think about it a rtr from ofna has pullstart, 27mghz cheap contoller those 2 things alone to upgrade to a box and 2.4 is ganna cost atleast 200 so ur alrady hitting 6 and trust me no one wants to race a car with pull start because thats a pain in the rear lol
