Default starter box won't touch flywheel

i have a losi l8ight. i also have the losi starter box. the wheel not touch the flywheel on the engine. what am i doing wrong? i am new to the nitro rc's

I don't know about your starter box, but one thing you did that won't help much is posting this in the wrong section, so I'm moving it to the nitro offroad section where it should get seen by those who can help...

do you have pullstart motor mounts on the car?

Push down on the glow driver when starting. Here, watch this video on the 8 T 2.0 rtr and the problem gets addressed a little way into the vid.

One of our club members had the same issue with his starterbox. What he did was put a few nuts or metal rings below the motor mount of the starterbox to lift it up a tad. Works like a charm now.
