Smile 10 MIN ON ONE TANK? RC8T

Is it possible to get at least 10 Min on one tank of fuel in an RC8t Champ Ed, with an OS V-Spec Limited Ed, all stock configuration....

Usually easier to get 10 minutes on a truggy than a buggy because of the larger tank. You should be able to pull it off if you have a good tune and don't drive really really hard!

Quite possibly...if you pray to the fuel gods and don't touch the throttle!

Very easy! There are many factors that determine runtime. Two main things besides your engine/fuel/pipe/plug/venturi setup are the driver behind the wheel(throttle tendencies) and the track you are running on. Obviously a heavy trigger finger will burn more fuel, and a larger track will generally burn more fuel. The weather(temperature/humidity, even altitude) will also play a factor in runtime. So to answer your original question, yes 10+ minute runtime can be had in most cases.

ACTUALLY buggy gets better gas mileage, the truggy is heavier and gets less mileage

Na bro. That's not how it works. Truggy tank has 25 more cc's. Truggies almost always get better fuel mileage because of that. Even with the heavier load and bigger tires. Obviously you can get away with pulling on the throttle more with a truggy, so if you're doing that, the above may not be the case. If you drive the truggy smoothly like a buggy, the above will be true.

+1

I have a stock D8T only an aluminum servo arm and I just recently made it past 10 minutes in a 20 minute main with one pit. I was running a GO5port turbo 8mm stock venturi and a 2047 GO pipe and 30% fuel..

Strange. Well if you drive your truggy really hard, you won't get the mileage. If you drive it like your buggy(at least relatively) you will get better run time in the truggy. 13-14 minutes isn't too big of a challenge in a truggy. Might be a stretch in a buggy.

So you guys that are getting 13-14 min per tank of gas you are saying in a 39 min race you pit 2x. Or every 11-12 mins? Of do you pit like the rest of us around 8-9 and pit 3x in a 30 min race.

Every 10min. If you end up wheels up with a low tank youll probably flame out, unless you have a clunker in your tank.. ( weighted pickup )
