Using a precision clamping device to physically "pinch" the sleeve smaller. It maintains roundness, but shrinks the diameter to restore a tight fit with the piston. It is my understanding that you can generally pinch a high end motor 2 or 3 times to get some more life out of it.

i've seen those rubber orings at ace hardware. that;s a good idea cause i have to replace my zipties once a raceday.
ace is actually a gold mine for plastic washers, rubber orings, ect.

Huh, you guys made me think. Have you guys ever thought about using a hose clamp for the air filter? Sort of like a re-usable zip tie. And mcmastercarr.com has them small enough for them. Ive gotta try that.

well, i guess thats not really an accurate URL but you can figure out your own sizes.
Looks to me to be perfect, up to 250 degrees (the air filter it self wont get that hot) i measured my air filter and that one would fit perfect. and 10 bucks for ten of them? Awesome. And of course there re-usable.
