Default JC Punisher Body cracked on first outing (?)

My MBX6T Punisher body cracked around the front mounts on the very first outing I have since patched the cracks with silicon and fiberglass tape. Anyone else in the same boat?

If you call up JC and tell them what happened, I think they may give you a replacement body for free.

The mugens seem to have alot of chassis flex. Did you ovalize the body mount holes before you ran it? Ive done that with all my bodys in the past. It helps keep the body from cracking at the holes when the chassis flexes.

I ordered two and have used one. Maybe they'll refund the 2nd body. I'll look into it.

Chassis flex? Not sure... I run the body on a Cen Matrix Truggy with a BCE chassis. Ovalize? Nope, just mounted it using a body reamer.

Jconcepts bodies crack easy. now with that being said there customer service is 2nd to none.ive never heard of a company tryin to please a customer the way they did. I had a 8t 2.0 punisher body, it cracked on the first outing, long story short they ended up giving me 4 more bodies by the time i asked for my money back and they gave it to me, i love the style of the body but its to thin.

So, what about the Proline "Bulldog" body for the MBX6T. Do you [or anyone else for that matter] know if it's thicker or more durable?

I just finished trimming out a Bulldog D8T body to fit on my Jammin X2 CRT. It is definitely thicker than my friend's Punisher body on his RC8T CE. His body cracked the first time out also.
I woudldo what everyone else said, and call them. From whatI have heard, they do have great customer service.

i have seen 3 bodies crack around the front d8t body mounts..

the lexan gets VERY thin near the front of that divit reinforce it before you fully mount and race that body.

Haven't had a single problem with any of my JConcept bodies. Bodies usually crack when you hit something really hard.

In my personal experience JConcepts bodies have proven to be teh most durable of any.
Like someone said, make sure you have the holes bigger than the body pins to allow for flex in your chassis

I have tried the punisher twice and both times they cracked(one of those was my fault) They are just not thick enough in key locations. I have since gone back to the bulldog which has not given me any issues at all. Sucks because the punisher is so much nicer looking than the bulldog.

i ran my first for 3 races and it was torn bad, they did send me another but after a pita paintjob it was the same thing again, never tried another. i hate to put a 6 hr. paintscheme on to destroy in a few races
