I was thinking of doing a similar thing with my box except I want to use it to make a top plate, and glue on corners so that you simply drop the car on top and its lined up. Painting the underside would make it match everything nicely

Oh, come on. Why stop there??? I am sure that you, like me, have some led's, old hard drives, old speakers laying around. Why stop where you are. You know you want to put some speakers in there somewhere. Just think about it, starter box/mp3 player in one. You KNOW you want to do it....you know it...

yeah the connections are like that because they melted together and ruined so i used some tamiya plugs off some old batteries and such for a quick fix until i get some deans or some thing. If it catches on fire then I have an excuse to get a new starter box like i want to :P I dont really like this one.

I did that with mine, I used. Acrylic and bent the corners so the car fit is a no brainer, my girl someimes has to start it after sponser announcements at some races where I can't start it for her and it helped a ton..it made it blonde proof!

The dynamite ready start (black) is nice and cheap. My bud just got it. Like a truggy start copy with the dual 775 motors.

I use the Mugen box and it's dialed and compact.

Truggy start is good too.
