haha you said it....
Best fuel percentage is 25% nitro, and at least 11% oil. 11-13% oil to be exact.........Novarossi tells me on the instructions, how long have they been making engines????? My favorite fuel is Byrons Gen2 25% 11% oil, but there are other great fuels out there, heck Traxxas fuel is good stuff if you get 25%. Just make sure it has plenty of oil. Some fuels use too little oil content. Saying it's space age oil, come on... That's belogna, did I spell that right? team fuels are for team racers who can get new engines when they need one. Let the teams have it. More oil makes more compression and well you know the story, piston, bearings and so on.

Shimming is required. Fuel mileage is pretty darn good too.

Like Alan said shimming is required, Byron's used high quality oils same as WERKS fuels, Todays fuel no need of more than 11% oil to lubricate and keep low temps, thats why you see higher % of nitro.

didn't even know they made 40% nitro. The highest i have ever seen is 33% by traxxas.
Is there any perfomance gained from it? I would imagine you would have to run a cooler plug or a extra shim to control predetonation.

agreed. just like a 2w guy puttin in a 6.5 b/c its faster than an 8.5....
....til his next round time is slower than before.

predetonation. Higher combustion going on.

i thought it was the opposite that, 20% nitro runs cooler than 25% or higher?
