Default carb insert info

I am currently trying to hit that magic 10min mark with a nova limited 3port, right now I am at 9.45 with temps at 220-230, dyna086, 8mm insert, sidewinder30%. Was wondering if dropping to a 7.5 insert will make a noticable difference

Agreed! I find that the .5mm increments really don't make much of a noticeable difference. You also have to remember, to pit at 10 minutes you need to be able to do at the very least 11 minutes actual runtime. I usually figure on 2 extra laps of runtime just to be safe.

7mm will get you most of the way there.

A Nova 9901 pipe or 2084 will get the you the rest of the time you seek.

this is why I have to make more run time so I can pit at 9min with this motor, 20min mains are going tough(2 stops) but its just a back up motor so i guess i need to eliminate a crash or 2 to make up for the extra stop

Just Curious, how much fuel has been ran through your motor?

Thanks.

One thing i learned about these inserts is that anything smaller than 7mm makes the engine (any engine) very difficult to tune.
