Wtf..... when the pinion hits the flywheel ???

do you mean the clutch bell makes contact with spur gear ?

the clutch bell teeth line up just fine with the spur gear but it only goes over half of the spur gear. the teeth do not cover the whole spur gear.

Sounds like a shimming issue,is it more towards the gas tank (past) the spur gear or closer to the engine, does your clutchbell spin freely you can also play with your motor mounts to adjust.Hope this helps,i'm no expert but i just went through all this rebuilding my buggy.

He may be trying to use a Robinson racing bell with flat teeth, the losi bell has teeth the go to a point, other than that im not sure of what he could be talking about.

He is most likely not using the losi clutch bell. Standard 3 shoe clutch bells are too short and will only contact about half of the spur gear.

Tq you have two choices.

1. Buy the losi clutch.

2. Buy a quick change motor mount. The quick change will allow you to use a standard 3 shoe clutch when the blocks are flipped.
