I read that too, but it must be wrong. If you took the stone out there would be nothing to filter the fuel(assuming there was no inline filter as that would require the block anyway) not to mention that the clunk wouldn't function properly without the stone.

Who knows, maybe some people were desperate for longer run times at the expense of a properly functioning tank.

ok ok i get it, with the stone in the tank its heavier and when the truck flips over...gravity..fuel.. man im retarded! lol

I recently had the stone break off and sink to the bottom of the tank. The fuel tubbing floated to the top and sucked air which made my engine run lean the entire main, no fun...

Yeah that sucks! I have heard it happen before but have been luck enough to not have had it happen to me before(knock on wood).
