I'm reluctant to go lipo the fire explosion thing, lipo's also need a voltage regulator and a low voltage alarm. I decided to try 6.6v Life battery by Hobbico. Has anyone use these batteries? The dist. say these batteries needs no voltage regulator and their is no fire danger and a good constant voltage.
Here's a video what do you think?

Contact Cobra racing they are the only ones with a good life batt for Losi. And make sure your charger has a Life setting or A123.

Yes, get the LIFE battery. No regulator and very stable.

Also, you can just use a cheap charger for about $40.

Won't fit a Losi but that will fit the RC8B box.

I have been running LIPOs for going on 3 years from 1/8 to 10th, and I have never had one catch fire on me. I use a Hyperion Charger.

In my LOSI I run a Losi LIPO Receiver Pack.

AND - A volt reg:

I have run that set up last summer with Ace Servos. Now Im running Hitec 7950 HV serovs.

As far as charging. I put the charger on number of MAh say 2000 and hit start. I do place all my lipo packs in LIPO bags. I refuse to run life packs. I like the power I get from lipo.

I've been runing these Lipos for about 6 months now and so far no issues. There pretty cheap and if you take care of them you'll be fine. If you search around there are a lot of people using these cheaper eBay batteries in the RX. But you will need to get a regulator.
