Default What colour should engine internals be?

I opened up my nova and the conrod and case are a copperish / brass colour. Is this ok? Or is it ment to be like new?

Depends on fuel a lot. Sidewinder will dye it pink, Byron will give it a bit of an orange, I think O'Donnell will give it a bit of a brassy/yellow colour.

I have an RB that drank 8 gallons of Byron 30% and it's definitely orange inside.

As long as it's not black, you're reasonably good to go. If it's black, that likely means the motor was run WAY too hot...the black usually comes from the oil in the fuel burning off before it reaches the combustion chamber.
