Don't forget that Nova has a new pipe out as well. Normal drivers can get 12 easy out of the motor. Add in a pipe designed for fuel mileage and a super smoother trigger finger on an indoor track and 15 minutes could be a possibility.

Last I knew Drake ran: 41021 header and 9901 pipe for buggy and 41021 header and 9853 pipe for truggy, C6TGC Glow Plug, 6mm venturi, Nitrotane 30%.

Have any of you ever run a Plus 4?
Since last summer I've been running a Plus 4 off the shelf with Nitrotane and consistently get 13 to 14 indoors and 11 to 12 outdoors. The longest main I've been in with this motor is a 30 minutes so I pit at 10 and 20.
I really don't think Adam or Yannick need special motors to make that kind of run time.

Adam's always been one of only one or of very few drivers that would be able to stretch their pit stops longer than what is normal for the masses. Then figure in it's an indoor track and very cold which adds a lot of runtime. For Adam to pit at 15min, I think is what someone said he did, for those conditions to me is not surprising. Tracks have a large effect on runtime, sometimes I pit at 7:30min on a large outdoor high speed full throttle track. Last indoor race I was at I pitted at 11:15min and considered 15min. Also because you can run say 12min to an empty tank does not mean you should pit at 11:15min, might not be enough cushion or room for error. Runtime is relative to equipment used but I feel 70% of runtime is derived from the driver and track conditions.

The engines he runs are totally standard, mass productions ones from the shelf. No extra blue printing, extra portings or lapping what so ever.
The point is that engine producers prove that any of their engines is able to win races. Everything Adam uses is available for the public or will be available in the near future.
It's the man who makes the difference, not the engine, nor the car. Runtime is solely based on the throttle control of Adam, he is very smooth on the trottle and can find a balance between speed and runtime better then any of us.
When you are at the highest level of racing you don't win races because of a faster engine or a better car, you win because of your skills, your form of the day and your mental state, but only if the technique doesnot fail one you...
