Default Exceed Madstorm with 6.75" tires!

Does anyone own this truck? It seems awesome and has some good reviews. I am thinking of buying one. Its wheels/tires are 6.75 inches! I just don't know if the .28 engine will be that much faster than the .21 for $70 extra.

Here is the info and pictures
http://www.nitrorcx.com/exrc1scmamot.html

.21 nitro engine model is $200

.28 nitro engine model is $270

A sweet video:

And here are 3 reviews. The second is a video.

Looks like the 1st gen truggies back when we would put truck tires on buggies....

I would not recomend a brand that is not popular... it may be cheap but like they say "you get what you pay for"

Don't buy it unless you plan on never having a wreck, and not driving it on an Off-Road Course. They are very weak and poorly made.

When I first got into Nitro I made the mistake of buying an Exceed 1/8th Scale Buggy. Biggest mistake I ever made on an online purchase.

I could take it over the smallest single at our track and I would pop hinge pins out all the time from landing.

Right, well the quality is what I have heard of lately. The guy who did the reviews once tested an exceed and it was not well made but supposibly this is different. It has "hardened" alluminum in various places and he said that it was very durable.

I normally dont "bash" my trucks so it might hold up but if/when it would break I would have to order online.

I noticed that you bumped the thread back to the top is it 'cause you are waiting for someone to tell you to go ahead and give it a try?

LOL no. I am just trying to find someone who ownes one that could comment. I am going to try a used one out tommarow. If I like how it runs and it is in good condition then I will probably offer a price. If the price is not accepted and I like it a lot then I will buy one used.
