Losi Starter Box Belts

Has anyone modded their box yet so they could use a different belt or something. I am getting tired of waiting for Losi to restock the belts. I ordered some from a Korean vendor off of EBAY, but haven't recieved them yet. I want to get my box up and running again. I may have to put it up for sale.

i was asking a local hobby shop the same thing they told me to bring in my box and they can try to match it up or my hobby shop orders me parts straight from company within two three days i usually get them

Is this the same box as the RTR unit? If so, I havent lost a belt yet which makes me wonder if something isnt aligned/adjusted properly.

what are you doing to the belts to cause them to fail ?

I don't really think I am the only one with this problem since no hobby shop online has them in stock and they aren't on EBAY either. This is the starter box that came with my Losi 8ight t 2.0 RTR. It also happened to my buddies also. Everything is lined up great and it starts real easy when it has a belt.

Had it happen to my 2.0 rtr box. Called horizon and they replaced it for free.

had it happen on my losi 2.0 non-RTR box, but that was because I was forcing it on a misaligned car (and cold motor). if the belt slips, STOP, then readjust.

The GO boxes use the same size belt. We will order some on the next order from the factory. Next order will be shipping from Taiwan on 5/3.

It's not your fault

Those boxes are junk. Spending 750 bucks on a car with servos that fail, and a starter box that sounds like it's sick. The car is nice though, and the radio works great even if it feels like a toy, what a bargain.....Losi rocks.....Helping the new guys have issues since 1983.....

the belts are weak, ask any pro losi driver. i actually had to let billy fisher use my ofna box when his losi box broke b4 his main:p
