Default Ex tech, 2013 pipe

Has anyone used this in comparison to the other 2013 pipes?? are they all the same performance wise, except maybe one brand is maybe beefier then the other????

I don't know from experience, but it has been stated by others that the eXtech uses a thinner material, and maybe softer.. But I have a Sirio 2013, and an eXtech 2057, and I can't see the difference.. I bought both used and both were very beat up when I got them. My $.02

The 2013 is an EFRA homologation number, every exhaust with yhat number must be the same and so the same in performance. Indeed only the thickness and standard manifold could be different but with the same manifold all 2013 pipes must perform the same.

Jab,

The Ex-Tech, Sirio, and Werks should all be the same as Sirio is the parent Mfg. for Ex-Tech and Werks. I think the new Orion 2013 is the same, but haven't confirmed that. The Orions look to be Sirio based.

As long as the same parent Mfg. is producing the same pipe numbers they should be the same or very close to that. The issue arises when you are trying to compare a Novarossi 9853 to a Dynamite 053 or something like that. On paper they are supposed to be the same, but in use they are not quite the same.

+1. I have the orginal 2013 extech pipe and its beat to hell. I would go with the werks 2013. My son has the werks 2057 and the quality far surpases the extech 2013.

With that said my 2013 extech still performs very well. Just looks like someone took a few golf balls to it.

A little off topic here but, Decent sized dents in pipes can be fixed. Just fill with water and seal all openings (really good) then toss it in the freezer over night. The freezing water will expand aand push out most of the dents.

Be careful when freezing the X-tech 2013. It made the front end of mine balloon out like a plastic baseball bat. It was left in the freezer over night.

Just get the new Orion Pipe. The pipe is thicker and has a reinforced stinger. It costs only about $10 more than the ExTech pipe.

Better yet, get the Werks 2013 and have the same pipe while saving $5.

As far as a comparison, all 2013 pipes should be the same, or very close to the same. As far as I know all current 2013 pipes are made by Sirio so their performance should be identical. Not to mention the fact that every EFRA 2013 pipe has to have the same dimensions therefore they will all be very similar in performance no matter what the manufacturer. The difference will be in the quality of construction. The newer 2013 pipes(Werks new 2010 version, Orion, etc...) are much stronger than the older generation 2013 pipes.
