Default How do I remove the shield on bearings?
Just need a simple answer as to what tool I need to remove the shield So I can clean out the grease n dirt that r in my tko rubber sealed bearings. I tried using a dull pik but kinda damaged the seal n bent it. Thanks in advance.

I just use an exacto blade or hobby knife. I get the blade behind the seal and just pry it up.

Yep. Exacto knife. 5 times outta 10 you will break the very end of the tip off...so I just keep an old hobbico with a broke tip for just that reason.

When you pry it out do it on the large OD of the seal...not the ID.

That is correct pry it out using the outer race as a leverage point.
