The factory is .196 and the tolerance is -.003
If your crank pin is at .193 with a new rod you might get a couple gallons before the rod bushing wears and the crank is totally done.
For Example: with the pin at bottom dead center - your 12 and 6 o'clock measures .194 and the 9 and 3 measure at .192 or less - you need to replace your crank.

is this sae measurement or metric? i measured my crank pin and got 4.95 mm is this acceptable?
#6
4.95 mm equals 0.1948.
#7
also watch if youre crankpin is out of round and can make the crank useless..vspec cranks dont last that well in my experiance ..but the speed cranks last and last due to the coating on them.

thanks it measured 4.95 all the way around and there didnt seem to be any visable signs of wear on the crank pin so looks as if i will be fine to use this crank

new 4.98 to 4.995
throw away at any out of round or coning more than .04mm or if any measurement is less than 4.92mm . last rerod at 4.92mm will be good for about 1-2gallons and the crank will be garbage!!
