Default head button question

i have a ninja JX21 that is right about 3 gallons old all stuck and been running OS P3 turbo plugs. last weekend of racing i popped 3 plugs and about 6 tanks of full. i was kinda stumped by it because it has felt like my tune has been absolutely perfect. i took the motor apart to clean and inspect and there is 0 wear on the conrod, bearing feel pretty good, but the head button looked just a bit pitted. barely noticeable. but the beginning signs of damage. now if i remember correctly pitting is caused be early detonation??? is that right? and early detonation is caused by being a little lean? please correct me if i am wrong

also comes from wrong timing via not running right nitro content as it is shimmed for or running wrong plug. you should try a p4 plug it has more of a tunning range over p3.
