Was going through my own box of grenaded engines today and found an unlikely fix. the crank and conrod from the GO 3 port budget mill fits the sts.

will post results once i know.

A few years ago my first car engine grenaded in the same way.
It was an Axe Rossi Cobra.
When mine let go it did it with such force that it blew a hole in the bottom of the block.

No matter what kind of engine, they always seem to run the best they've ever run just before they let go!

This is dead true, I remember on the day the buggy was that quick that I was coming around the last bend onto the main straight, I was a metre or so behind the car in front, and along the length of the straight (20 metres) I would catch and pass the other cars and be atleast a metre infront by the next corner.
She was running so sweet (probably too lean and too many revs)

Two stroke motorcycles are the same way....I used to ride a YZ125 back in the 80's. That thing was always fast, but I remember one race, where the engine was screaming like a raped monkey......locked up tight on the next lap!

thats how it always goes, everytime a engine is running great it seems to be a ticking time bomb. my STS was running amazing this weekend and on the first lap mine did the exact same thing as this guys did.

on the motocross side, my bike was running better than it ever did but then the on my last lap going up a face of a triple there it goes and $1500 dollars just in parts, its running again lol
