ROAR new body rules

race
Thats why I like races like races like the Dirt Nitro Challenge and the Neo race because I like to see all the new stuff and the companies pushing the envelope of our hobby, that is what makes 1/8 scale nitro off road so cool IMO. Motor size, fuel tank size, and tech stuff like that I can see policing but stuff that helps our hobby grow into the future and keeps people interested should be encouraged.

Well they are screwed , it looks like a F117 Stealth Fighter. Now that is no where along the lines of what did ROAR call it....“Buggy and truck bodies used in ROAR-sanctioned events should resemble those used in full scale off-road and stadium racing. Sedans, out-of-scale truck, and van bodies are prohibited.”

J-concept's body doesn't seem "cab forward" to me, there's a pronounced hood area in front of the bottom of the windsheild. It's just way uglier than any of their previous bodies.

Boy if they did that there would most likely be an all out revolt in response. I just wish that ROAR would lighten up on this, there seems to be enough people who want the body so let the majority rule and just lift the restriction on the bodies or at least make a separate buggy class with appropriate rules that allow the bodies to be run.

What many of you dont understand is there are many saying stop this trend before it gets out of hand as has happened in Slot Cars, Touring Cars, 1:8 Truck. Manufacturers included.
Pro-Line, JConcepts, HB, AE, and Many other respected names in the Industry are working together with ROAR to develop an Objective Set of Specs for the Buggy Body.
We are working together and all parties input is being considered.

ROAR SUX - THE END
Its not like that body style gives you a edge over other racers and you are able to run 5 extra minutes/tank or gain 10mph just by having that body on. I personally don't like that body or the losi 2.0 8T body, it just looks gay but thats no reason for me to tell people hey you can't run it when i'm conducting a race that would be just stupid

Yes, the recent release of the J Concepts punisher buggy body that looks like a jet is going down the correct path. If what you said was true, why did they release the pics of the body after you BAN. hahahahahahahaha.

probably because the jc body was already planned, designed and proto typed before the banning of bodies. but from the looks of it I do believe that it will be within there specs. we shall see I guess.
