Default Need new motor, SUGGESTIONS?

Like the title says, i'm in need of a new motor... I own a Ofna ultra lx1 that ran the force .28 engine with a jp2 pipe. Today during some bashing the motor blew after i just put a handful of goodies on the buggy and i would appreciate some help quickly so i can get this thing on the move again! Basically i'm on a budget so i don't really wanna spend more than $200 on a new engine. Fairly new to this hobby so i'm not exactly sure on which engine would fit me best. This buggy is for bashin n not racing. I enjoyed the power .28 but what would i be better off with a .21? Pretty much comes down to wuts a good .21 or .28 motor that is well known for reliability, power to whip this heavy buggy around, and a great priced motor. Info and suggestions please! Remember, i'm not lookin 2 spend a fortune. Thanks

LRP 28. One of the best bangs for the buck. Good quality, great power, will last if you take care of it.

Novarossi 21bf. good motor, good price and will be faster than the rtr 28 you were using. Should be under $150.

There are a few engines around the 200 mark. For a buggy I would definatly go with a race .21 they are designed for buggys. Personally I would contace mark at powerhousercperformance.com and ask him what he suggests. He modes these engines with great success. I even send my $500+ mills to him to mod. I do know he has these nova bf limited engines that are relatively inexpensive but give him a call or shoot him a pm in the powerhouse coldfusion thread on here. Personally I enjoy os engines but there ate many many choices these days. Also what are you doing with it race or bash or both it makes a difference. Just bash I would stick with a cheap engine. Depends on what you are wanting to do with it.

Werks B5 Is a great option a lot of power, Run time, no need to replace rod after brake in, customer service second to none, nuff said. Google "a main cupons" you can get the engine in your door step with your budget. HA!! no need to invest $ in mods. The others eng. above are good, but for the budget this mill rock. Take a look what people said http://www.rctech.net/forum/nitro-of...ng-engine.html

Default hmmm

The BF Novarossi is a steal at 140, but that new red alpha engine is really fast. You could get a houston tuned Novarossi .21BF and I bet it will move it out.....His prices are really good.

Talking New Engine too!!

Hi all, I have decided to pull the MP7.5 K2 (new) out of the cupboard which is also in need of an engine! It had a V Spec in it, i have had several OS donks, which are gr8 donks but i was thinkin of somethin different, Sirio Evo IV, RB Concepts K9 or Novarossi BF. I will be racing the buggy, and lookin to spend around the $300 mark.
Any advice would be great!

o'donnell same power as a v-spec but 80 bucks cheaper.......... plus a smoother power band like the os speed for even more saving... but as jmaxey51 stated all those engine will do just fine for you....... jeremy

for $250 I have a modified OFNA JL..it is the same engine internally as the RB K9....my $250.00 version is ripping fast ( by far faster/more powerful then any you listed ) ..it has a hand fitted piston so it needs no traditional breakin...you will be track ready in about 3 tanks !
