Essential Tools 1/8 truggy / Buggy??
Just wanting to know peoples thoughts that have been in and around the scene for a while in regards to what you would have as ‘ESSENTIAL’ tools for a 1/8 Buggy – Truggy, eg. Clutch Shoe install tool / Flywheel spanner etc..
As I am fairly new to the racing scene, just wanting to know what tools I should make sure I have with me or purchase to ensure my time racing is enjoyable and not running around trying to utilise makeshift tools to do stuff that would have been easier with the right gear …
If it makes any difference to the tools i should consider, i have:- Xray 808B / RC8T

A good hex set is vital. 17MM wheel nut wrench, flywheel wrench, a tote of sorts to pack stuff in, Dremel with assorted bits, arm reamer, needle nose come in handy, picks to get dirt of of screws. EZ Up,folding table, chair, power strip, and extension cord all come in handy especially if you travel....the list goes on and on.

i am lost without my heat gun.
it is handy is so many ways.
also, don't forget the old L shaped allen wrenches. They come in handy to.
Dental probes as well.
good set of cleaning brushes.
oil injecting needle, and another for grease.
Go to harbor freight and get some long handled instrument screwdrivers (they are good and cheap) good not just for tunning, but for servos/recievers and such.

As for tools, I love my power hex driver.

I would recommend some digital calibers as well for setup tools. Good for setting droop, tie rod lengths, etc. You can find them in any hard ware store for $10.
