Default This hobby....wow

Hi guys! I would like to share my life story of rc lol and was wondering if anyone is just as bad as me? I first really got into it with a AE RC18MT.. It was a cool little car but always wanted another or something bigger and better..I sold it and then got a RedCat Racing Tornado BB...big mistake Then sold that for a TTR ST-1.GS Cl-1.sold those for a ST-RR and a 777 WC also to race..Sold them both since I didnt race..got a jato traded it within a week and got a maxx..sold it lol and then got a RC8 FT to race agian..kept it for a lil but never driven lol..sold it Got a bj4..zx-5..slash..sc-10...and sold those...Now I just bought a crt.5 pro and plan on keeping it...Since I always regretted selling my ttr-st1 my buddy is selling his real cheap and probably going to snag it up...Just for fun since college is around the corner..sumer project Are you guys the same? I feel like I cant stop buying and selling different things..I wasted more money into the hobby but can't help it cause I really enjoy it..is that bad? HBU guys?

That's quite a list there,

I know a couple guys that have done simular things. Is it bad? Depends on who is asked. At the end of the day, it's your money to spend, who's to say how you spend it is "bad". I have known guys who simply like to build kits, they've never run them, just like to build them. To each is own, I guess.

I think just about everyone in the hobby wishes they wouldn't have sold something at one time or another. Of course there are those that never sell anything. I'd love to see that stock pile.

As long as you are having fun in the hobby, it's all good. Maybe one day you will find that one car or truck that you keep and enjoy every second of owning it. Until then, keep having fun.

Yea when I get bored and it's not in use then I see it as money just being wasted so I sell it . Or I do what Trevor does..sell other things to fund for other sweet stuff At least we all put are money into something we enjoy and not wasting it on pointless stuff...This is my only hobby

Derek,

I feel you on that. I just sold off my buggy to fund other things I wanted for the truggy. I hated doing that, but it is what it is. Money's tight and have to cut back somewhere. Sometimes I just can't stand looking at stuff just sitting there either.

Default Is it bad?

Sounds to me like you get your rush from buying and selling. There are many just like you. I am one also. Although I do love running my cars and trucks I also enjoy the art of the deal . As long as you enjoy what your doing its fine.

I know how you feel. I am not as bad as some people but I do seem not to keep a vehicle for very long.

Here is a list of vehicles I have since I went hard into the hobby in mid 2007.

1. Duratrax Nitro Evader
2. HPI Savage X 4.6
3. RC18T
4. Losi Micro T
5. Losi Mini Slider
6. Another RC18T after I sold the other 2 weeks before hand.
7. Team Associated RC18R
8. Losi 8ight 2.0 converted to electric
9. HPI Baja 5T
10. Traxxas Slash 2WD
11. Traxxas Mini Revo VXL
12. Losi 8ight-T 2.0 RTR
13. Mugen MBX6T

And the vehicles I currently own are:

- Mugen MBX6T
- Losi 8ight-T 2.0 RTR
- Losi 8ight 2.0 sitting parts in a box
- HPI Baja 5T
- Traxxas Mini Revo VXL

The vehicle I wish I didn't sell is my Savage X 4.6. Just before selling I put new extended Innovative RC TVP's and HPI big bore shocks on it. Never ran it then sold it for super cheap. The truck had everything done to it and rocked. I really don't have any bashing vehicles besides the Baja but you can't drive that everywhere. I love racing but I will always like getting a vehicle and driving the crap out of it with a bunch of friends.

Sorry if this is hard to read, it was typed on my iPhone.

OMG...that's insane...cool...but insane. But i can't say much. I started in 6th grade with a hornet. Sold everything about 4 years ago, including my beloved st-r with every bell and whistle known to man. And wouldn't you know, my buddy talked me into a 8eight 2.0 rtr. So a G later, im reading to go break it in when the weather breaks.

funny seeing everyones list. I had alot of cars years ago but just got back into them last year. in one year I have had a st-r truggy, jammin x1 truggy, 2 tq sx8 buggies, losi 8ight buggy and now a losi 8ight t 2.0.

I flew helis for 10 years and had well over 30 helis in that time. It doesn't take long to rack up a list.
