OS Speed 2060 Alternative Pipe

Just wondering if there is an alternative (cheaper) pipe than the genuine 2060OS??

I have heard that the Losi RE11 i think it was, is similar..

Would be great to hear peoples thoughts..

Ninja 2042

RE10 works great. RE11 doesn't. The 11 kills the topend on a speed. Been there done both.

ninja 2042 is same as os 2060 but may be cheaper.Reckward 2041 is a good pipe more power a little harder on fuel,re11 is similar to os 2050,re10 is similar to os 2060.

I ran the JP-2 and the RE10 on my OS Speed. The RE10 works alot better on top end and was getting 10min 45sec run time.

thanks for the feed back.. I have a .28 OS engine for my RC8 T, and have been told the 2060 was the prime pipe to use.. :tire:

No pipe is like the 2060.... Some might be similar but the 2060 is where it's at....

I was marshaling at PNB several times while Alain's truggy was out on the track....the RE10 defintely looked like it was working well with the Speed. I've got a 2060 on my Speed, but I got it at a BIG discount, so I'm happy. When I have to buy a new pipe, I'm likely to try the RE10.

I've also got a 2050, which is generally thought to be the hot ticket for truggy when runing the Speed. Honestly, I liked the 2060 better....it really smooths out the power curve, and I really didn't notice any significant decrease in low end when changing to the 2060. The Speed tons of power everywhere....the 2060 just makes an already linear powerband that much smoother.

That's not true. Like crash said above the mugen 2042 is the exact same pipe as the os 2060. I have them both and they perform the same. But that's it there is no other cheap 2060 knock off. The mugen pipe isn't cheap either. But that's the only pipe that belongs on a vspec.

I'll agree that the 2060/2042 is the best pipe for the Speed and JX21. If it has an equal, believe it or not, it would be the Dynamite 053. I have run both pipes, one right after the other, without so much as having to change the tune. Performance was just as good too.

On the Speed engine the 053 pipes cut the top end off as they dont let the speed wind all the way up.

Like I said, in my experience, that's not the case. My Speeds and JX's all wind up just as well with either pipe. Fuel mileage is the same as well.

There is no 2060 copy. The ninja 2042 is the exact same pipe and is made by OS, so it can still be considered an OS 2060. The RE11 is a 2050 copy, not a 2060 copy. That said, I love the RE11 on the standard blue head v-spec. Not for a speed though.
