Last year we even had a powder puff race where the women of racing got to run their man's car, and I think the payout was 50 bucks - was a good time in the layover between qualifiers and mains - I hope we do it again this year - mine couldn't get the left is left going away - but left is right coming to you

As long as you have fun and can include the family - you can work out the rebuild time and monies....

My girl definitely loves me doing rc instead of riding because its a lot less worrying. I'm trying to get her involved and so far she likes playing with my truck a lot so I bought her one just need electronics for it so I'm very happy she is understanding and loving.

Ya John I will be racing again this year. I just can't do the $500.00 crashes anymore without the support I used to get with the helis. With no dirtbikes also I am very bored hehehehe. Pm me your number so we can hook up.

Default I tried to get mine involved.

Went out and got her a car. She put the whole thing together and everything. She lost interest soon after that. Sold the car, never even raced it. Now she hates it. I get very little time time to wrench on my stuff. My son helps me, but he is very young and all he really does is hide my tires from me . She will come to the track and just sit in the car but that lasts for about 20 minutes and she is ready to go. Oh well. When my son gets older we will have alot of guys weekends

I'm pretty lucky when it comes to my wife and my addiction. She understands how hard I work, and barely ever whines about all the time and money I dedicate to my hobby. My wrench time is usually at night when everyone is asleep.

Now I'm not saying she has never said anything because she has, but it's very rare ( like when I start wrenching on the dining room table and leave it all there way too long, instead of doing it downstairs )

There is NO WAY on this sorta green earth that will make me let or warp my mind in to thinking that I want to take my wife with me on race day. I love to travel by my self. If it took her I dont think one of us will make it to the track.

My wife is a real keeper. She MAKES me plan our vactions around big races, she goes to all my club races and practices just to make sure I eat(I'm sure you all get in the zone and forget about little things like that), she gets more pissed about me getting hacked in races than I do. She doesn't complain about the cost, the time involved, or the fact my weekends are spent at the track. As soon as my son is old enough to stay in the pits unsupervised, she said she wants to learn how to pit. She will even go as far as hitting up my race buddies and setting up pit guys for me if I am too busy wrenching.

Everyone should be as lucky as I am...

Now that's awesome!!! Kim I know youre reading this so pay attention to this last post.

I just saw this thread today and I've read the whole thing just laughing the whole time...lol

I do the opposite and make my race calender at the begining of the year so anytime she wants to plan a trip or push the honey do list in front of me then she marks the calender for an open weekend, Im perfectly ok with that. Oh yea we are getting married in exactly 2 months from today so I appreciate all this advise....lol

I've got a great set up at home and even though its in the garage I can make as much noise or spray anything I want, anytime. We also keep our spending accounts seperated so there is now fighting over money, I would advise anyone to do that.
