They have a lot of parts in common, not all of course... download the manuals from http://www.losi.com/Support/Manuals_PartsExplosion.aspx and do a cross check for the ones you're interested in

As far as i can see pretty much everything will work from one to the other xept for a few major differences. Such as the 2.0 chassis unless you have the longer rear 2.0 driveshaft, the servo saver arm from the updated 2.0(saver) is actually the 1.0 arm although the original 2.0 arm is not compatable with 1.0, and the rear diff bearing inserts are larger. Everything else for the most part(as far as i can see) is compatible with no modding such as the 1.0 linkage ends into the 2.0 rear hubs as well as front spindles, the 1.0 spindles&rear hubs use a 6.8mm ball and the 2.0 uses a 5mm ball so it takes a little forcing and vice versa. I at different times have used 1.0 parts on my then new 2.0. I currently run 100%2.0 parts

thanks for the info that was very helpful, so basically all i need is the rear 2.0 diff case and the bearing inserts for it and i should be good

Yes. I would also possibly look into aluminum rear diff inserts. The plastic inserts do not last very long and eventually need replaced. Although this is not totally needed, just keep an eye on them every couple gallons if you use the plastic.

I believe the rear outer hinge pins are different as well. On the 2.0 the thickness of the pin is bigger than the 1.0.
