Use high temp RTV to seal the carb to the case and it is also a good idea to put some around the threads of the high speed needle to prevent leaks. Do not go overboard with the RTV. A thin coat is all it takes.

You hobby shop may have some of this stuff in a small container or you can just go to an automotive store and get a "life time" supply in a tube.

Most Italian engines use 11mm filter attachment. The OS is 10mm. You should be able to press on the Losi or Associated air filter. This is what I am using on my OS carb an my Nova Rossi carb. It fits both although I do not interchange them. The Nova Rossi "stretched" the one I use on that and it will not fit snug on the OS anymore. I also add a zip tie to the air filter to help it stay in place.

Which header do you guys like for this Drake engine?? My associated header is so much smaller whear the openings meet, Im not sure I can Dremel that much out to make them equal.

And what are good setting on the carb, Ihave found about 2 on top and bottom a good rich setting for most .12 I have had, does this hod true for the Siro

Thanks
Dvae Mac

PS no way is my dynamite filter fitting, So AW what do you and Drake use?

I was using the OFNA 1/10th scale filter..but I switched back to the stock Losi filter. BIIIIIIG power increase!

The Sirio engine should be tuned in the same manner as any other .12.

Casper - You're dialed

It is just like going from a clean filter to a dirty one. You may even need to retune the engine since there is more air now! It will produce more power if you can get more air in also which is always an benefit to keeping that filter nice and clean!!!!

When you say "Losi Stock filter" does that mean the one in the kit?....the brass and paper one? or something else?

Default 19 turn spec.

Aaron- I know you don't run spec class so this one's for Casper.

Casper-

I haven't run electric for about 10 years but the MF2 looks so great that I couldn't resist! Which 19turn spec works the best in your truck. What spring and brush setup makes the best power? How do you gear it for HRH.

Thanks!

It's all about the Chameleon..hahaha

The Losi air filter that comes with the kits (brass and paper one), combined with the new pre-filter that will come with the AD2, is super dope. I'm not sure why there was so much more power, but I think it has to do with there being no elbow in between the filter and the carb, it's just a straight shot. Either way, it was a huge difference.

Casper - I didn't have class today..you were picking up my slack while I was picking up the slack at work today. I was there for two hours longer than I was supposed to be
