Xtreme R/C car magazine as well as R/C car action had great articles on how to keep your car dry when running through puddles. I'm not sure where I put them but here's what I remember....

-balloon around the receiver
-balloon around the receiver pack
-shoogoo type of stuff around the output shaft of your servo then replace the arm to keep it water tight.
-I do not know what it said about carbs.

I just wouldn't run in the wet, but if you must....just put a balloon around everything.

i actually got sloppy off a jump at the bmx track a while back. biffed the car upside down in about 4 inches of water. i just drained as much of the water as i could out from the carb, threw out the air filter and fired it back up. ran fine.

Alright Aaron,

I want to hear some results no matter how depressing they are. Just remember, it doesn't matter how bad you finished....you're always faster than me so at least you can beat someone.

Was that supposed to be an inspirational speech? Aaron did pretty well considering the company he was racing with. I do not remember his exact results but he was B main in both gas and modified!

I did pretty well myself. I made the open gas A main but had some issues and ended up 9th. I put it in the show and got to race for 30 min though so that was fun!

It's beyond humbling to drive your absolute best..and not make the main.

That said..when BK is BQ, and you have Worlds finalists like Joe Pillars and Scott Brown, plus other big names like Phillip Atondo and Lloyd Dassonville in the B main with you..it's not so bad!

I ended up 4th in the B main of Factory Modified Truck, and 4th in the B main of Factory Gas Truck (2nd after bump-ups)

mafia - We leave Wednesday morning or Tuesday night for most big races.

dylan-d - R/C Car did an interview with me that ran in last month's issue. I'm writing articles on the side for Xtreme R/C (what up Shane?! ) and my first article (or two) should be in next month's issue.

It's no coincidence that more pro racers use the M8 over any other radio..

- Strong signal
- Consistent response
- Easy to use
- Comfortable to hold.

'Nuff said.

Well contrats! The fact that you've been accepted into the invitational class is in-and-of-itself a great achievement. I know how that feels though, you run 3-4 qualifiers flawlessly...no wrecks, nice tight line...you know, perfect....and for the life of you, you just can't put it in the A. Life blows sometimes, but hey, there's always next year.....hopefully I'll make out next time.
