Aaron,

If I just for the heck of it wanted to try something a little different with my truck setup. (in the front) What will a 2-middle shock position do compared to a 1-inside like I'm running now?

Thanks!

mafia - It'll make the shock feel stiffer, and slow the car's reaction.

17driver - Honestly, I don't have a specific time frame for you. I would guess that the release date will be connected somehow with the Mod Nats in June, but don't hold me to it.

Troy - Let's leave ANC out of this, eh?

You brought ANC into this, I just wanted to know what Vegas was like. I hear it's a good race.

Dang.. You must be walking in with the wrong attitude. I've heard stories from the races in Vegas. Great track, lots of lovely ladies walking around, good competition, tons of lovely ladies walking around, big parking lot, oh, and did i mention the lovely ladies? I don't see how that wouldn't be fun

Not that I've been there or anything, this is just what I've been told.

Default Futaba PK3 with JR reciever?

Aaron,

Should this combination work? I have a JR RS300 synthesized FM receiver in my truck and was trying to get it to work with the Futaba. I've tried everything I know but it still won't work. The truck works fine with my old JR radio.

I figured it was something to do with PPM vs. PCM vs. the futaba HRS thing, but none of them work with the RS300.

Is this just an inherent incompatibility b/c of the different brands of transmitter/reciever?

Thanks again for all you help,

Tony

I'm not 100% sure..but I'm almost certain that it has to do with the difference in modulation (PCM vs. FM, etc.)

The FM module for the 3PK might work with that receiver.

I have a 3pk and a Spectra module and they work fine with my Novak receiver. Make sure the radio is set to PPM. There are 3 settings, PCM, HRS and PPM.

I was told at the Losi race that the rear arms aren't ready quite yet for the XXX-T. Jesse Robbers (who is a super nice guy) appeared to have the new truck, but he told me most of the parts were off of the buggy. Some Losi drivers didn't even have the new tranny in their trucks.

Futaba and JR are different shifts. I forget which is which, but Futaba/Hitec are on one, and JR/Airtronics/KO(?) are on the other. That's why it won't work.

Also, you don't use a different module or crystals with HRS, PCM, or PPM. For some receivers (Futaba's current FM receiver, the R133F, and the HRS receiver), you have to use Futaba's "short" receiver crystal (the PCM receiver still uses the "long" (normal) crystal), but other than that, the only thing changing the modulation (remember though, it has to match the receiver's type) is what setting you set it to (PPM, PCM, or HRS).

Edit to reply to the post that snuck in under mine...The Novak XXtra has two sides on the 75 band receiver, one for Futaba/Hitec, the other for Air/JR/KO. Again, (probably) because of the different shifts.

yo A Dub have you guys tried the Buggy Green springs on your xxxnt?

I see that frosty and Todd are running the green springs and Fro truck looks very good.

What is your take on that?

From what you saying is that if put the front shocks in the #4 hole it will make it feel lazy.

I was going to try the Green springs
and the putting the front shocks in the # 4 hole and move the bottom shock to the inside hole.

Right now I have the shocks in the #3 hole and Red springs and the middle hole on the arms

Not sure what Iím looking for but going to try it.

I know last weekend I was super happy.

And to pick off some of the fast guys at my track the first time out with the xxx-nt has made me fall in love with this losi. lol

And also the cv felt very good. Was thinking of going into my motor stock and pull out my os TR motor?

Iím I asking too much or should I stick with the cv?

thanx dibs
