Well, from what Aaron tells me about the B-mods head, it's much lighter, it draws more heat off the crankcase and actually cools the engine, rather than just having a cool heat sink and a hot crank case, which allows you to lean it out a little more and save more fuel.

Plus, they're pretty cool looking.

Boy you are lucky! That is an awesome engine, powerful/tuneable/very long lasting. Just get a losi .12 rear exhaust header and an ad2 pipe and you'll have an excellent combination. A losi gas truck air filter would work for ya too. Your local hobby shop should be able to hook you up, or try stormer hobbies, or horizon hobbies on the internet.

Aaron, finally bought an ad2 to compare with my gt2. Going to run Drake's dirt setup on it. Was surprised to see it runs pro squat on it. What is the reason for this and what conditions do you want to run pro squat? First setup I've ever seen with it.

air8 - Jon's referring to the O.S. Speed with the magnesium head. Magnesium is very light but the heat from the engine doesn't transfer well from the aluminum case to the mag head. The B-Mods heads are very light but still made of aluminum.

yenrec - Just like jbrow said, if you're looking to put the engine into a gas truck.

Bobby - Too funny! I had a blast racing flashlights, it was a cool change and I had a lot of fun battling with guys that race electric all the time. I didn't do too bad for someone who races 1/8th scale all the time.

Mike - I'm not sure why they're gone, but I know Losi is working on getting the hinge pins, and all of their parts, back in stock. It might take a while, but they're working on it.

Jon - Haha. But I grew up racing flashlights, it's not too much of a departure for me.

newbie - Traxxas makes great stuff, and the Sport will be a nice introduction to the hobby.

I wouldn't plan on storing your car for more than a day without after-run oil.

jbrow - The pivot block has 2 degrees of anti-squat built in; the washers used on the Drake setup take away 1 degree, which means the truck still has 1 degree of anti-squat, not pro-squat. Decreasing anti-squat should make the car smoother and add on-power steering.

jbrow - No problem. :-)

Bobby - Electric is nothing new to me. It's fun and 2wd modified will make anyone a better driver.

Snakes are NOT COOL!

newbie - Will the engine restart? You may not have a problem at all. Hot oil in the pipe will produce smoke, even after you shut the engine off or it dies.
