Had to throw some humor into it.

Well, I lied (kinda). We didn't stay in Arizona for the weekend, just yesterday. The track might be my new favorite place to play with toy cars.

Hey Aaron...a subject of chromed out cars came up in another forum. I remember quite a long time ago, Losi had a JRX2 completely chrome plated. Just curious if you might be familiar with it and if maybe you could dig up a pic or two. I tried google to no avail ...anyone else with any info/pics??? Thx

I've seen it, it's pretty cool! Unfortunately, I don't know if any pictures exist on the internet.

Hahaha. I'm hoping the psychology of hearing (reading?) that phrase over and over will actually help it stick in people's minds.

So they'll quit taking it so darn seriously and remember why they started playing with them in the first place: TO HAVE FUN!

Default Seriousness

Racing Toy Cars for used bowling trophies!!!

Sometimes this does get way too serious, it's good to step back and take a real hard look at our hobby. That is when I take the weekend off and go fishing.

I don't know what kinda races you go to, but all the bowling trophies I've seen at races are new!

Hahaha.

I understand that a competitive atmosphere is inevitable, but it has to be kept within reason. I don't care if it's a club race or the Nationals. I'm guilty of getting a little upset when things don't go very well (although I'm proud to say that this hasn't happened now that I'm not a dumb punk teenager anymore) and I feel like an idiot every time I'm frustrated or upset at the toy car track. My dad and I started doing this strictly for fun, and something he and I could do together. There's nothing frustrating about that.

There's no excuse for this hobby's top paid drivers to act the way they do at times. Sure, it's competitive, they want to win, and their paychecks sometimes ride on their performance, but seriously. You can be passionate about something without being ridiculous. I don't remember anyone at the local office building going to blows because they didn't meet a deadline.

It's quite another for the average hobbyist or the semi-sponsored driver to blow up. If you're not getting paid to play, then what ARE you doing at the track?

revsinc - There is no caster adjustment built into the kit. You can shim the front pivot block away from the bulkhead to change the caster but then you're changing a whole mess of other stuff, like bump steer, ackerman, etc. and it's not worth it.

What are you looking to change about your car? I don't think caster is really an adjustment that is worth messing with. If you need more or less steering, there are plenty of other ways to get it.

d4man - No kidding. I took over a month off this winter and I'm still shaking the cobwebs off!

Default oversteer

Thanks for your help
I got this car second hand and it was as it turn out in poor condition,
its got oversteer on turn in when you take the power off, its fine if there is power it in,
this may have suit the previous owner , but i like my car netural which suit me driving style

SO far i have put in a new diff, shock oil (30 Fr with blue springs 20Rr with orange springs) this has helped,
I have been racing two class at my nights racing so i have not had a chance to change anything else,
Now im going to the unthinkable, read the manual and try what they suggest,
What adjustment's would you apply next ??
cheers Kevin
