Yeah....but the hard-core one is expensive in comparison...

Aaron,

what will happen if I run two copper washers under my glow plug instead of one?

Thanks!

Aaron, I got a question... you done with that article?

I swear I'll make it out to The Dirt some day soon. Stephen and Derek have been bugging me. And Collin...although he pretty much bugs everyone. It will be fun to be a novice at this stuff again! haha

mafia - Nothing really, but there's absolutely no point. Engines are designed to run with one.

bassin - Brian and Casper are right, you can make the new truck just like the old one.

Shane - Gaaaaaaaaahd...hahaha. Yes Derek, I'm done..ON TIME!

You won't come play in The Dirt with us, you're too much of a sissy. I dare ya!

Aaron,

learn me something, how does a carb restrictor work?....Besides the obvious, will it smoothe out the power-band? Because, thats what I'm looking for, a little smoother power-band to take up the slack of the hair trigger I call a finger.

Default carb restrictor

mafia, less air= less power. A carb restrictor will help your wheel spin on the bottom end, but in return you'll lose top end as well. You will have to retune your engine accordingly. I wouldn't think you would need one at a-main. Have you tried the expo or servo speed on your radio.

Well, I ran one this sunday....AE's .180 "middle" size restrictor. I must say that I liked a lot!...the whole powerband felt much smoother!....and the car as a whole felt way more controllable. The straight is really short so there's no need for super top end....I didn't really see a difference in the top at all....I'm stickin with it!

A restrictor won't hurt top end at all but the biggest tracks. There aren't very many that really let a .12 wind all the way out, so you'll be fine.

A restrictor will cut down the amount of air into the engine, but it will force it in through the venturi faster, giving you smoother bottom end with even slightly better response. Because you have to re-tune the engine for the smaller amount of air entering the engine, you'll end up with better fuel mileage.

...I don't run one because I like doing wheelies

The new truck is STUPID FAST..nuff said. Heck, not even "way super dope" comes close to describing the AD2...I'm thinking more along the lines of "even more super doper than way super dope"...hahahahaha

Dope = Cool, good, dialed...generally "good", but a little better than good.

Way dope = Something that's even better than "dope", usually because it's more rare or uncommon. White ballcups were "way dope" back in the day because only certain people can get them. Now they're way dope simply because they work so well.

Super dope = Sometimes interchanged with "way dope", however incorrectly. Super dope is one notch just above "way dope", often when it's just that little bit better, or has been tweaked slightly more than something has been super dope. A girl who looks good in a tanktop and tight pants might be "way dope", but that same girl in a skirt would be "super dope".

Way Super Dope = The Tempgun.com units, overall performance of all Team Losi vehicles, Jammin's buggies, Trinity's equipment, Novak's orange stuff, Marty Korn's paintjobs, Joey's tracks, Keira Knightley, and the Rosarito, Mexico clubbing scene can all be described as "way super dope". That's when it's the best it can get!

Thanks for clearing that up Aaron. I feel much more informed on the many variations of Dope now!

And way super doper goes straight into cosmic spiritual dopeness and must be verified and certified by a cleric of dopeness such as Adam Drake or Aaron Waldron. It will bring bad cred if you use this term without pre-certification...
