Default How many people still run the Losi 8ight 1.0 buggy??

I was just curious to see who all is still runnin the Losi 8ight 1.0 buggy and why you havent switched yet.
I know my daughter and I still run them. I have thought about getting a 2.0 chassis and switch everything over to it but, for now I see no need to. Shoot I'm still trying to figure this one out. LOL!!

Yea but but your still running the 1.0 chassis right? Except for the chassis and the rear center CVD, I don't think to much else is that different.

Only thing I see different in handling is the rear come around easier and and drives easier . I run the 2.0 buggy but still run 1.0 truggy .

I still do as well. I run lap times that are comparable to the pro times at our local track. The problem is not the buggy it's MY consistancy. I run 5-10 fast laps then a few bad laps, 5-10 fast laps then a few bad laps. You get the idea.

yeah i run a 1.0 and just picked up a truggy 1.0 since they are cheaper but they drive great and i guess if ya havent drove a 2.0 then ya dont know any different im just curious how the 2.0 buggy chassis pairs up the the 1.o truggy chassis are they the same length? then the all the center parts would be the same

i know the eight 2.0 chassis is 2+ longer, and the 2.0 truggy chassis is i belive 3+ or 4+ longer, not sure. but yea i still run, the eight 1.0 buggy and can keep right up with, the 2.0 buggys handles fine. and this year il be running the 1.0 t truggy and slowly, replaceing the warn out parts with 2.0 parts. il proberly get the 2.0 truggy, chassis once the 1.0 t chassis is worn out which it really is starting , to since i bought it used.

I'm still driving the 1.0 but I change the chassis and the rear center shaft and that's it. Drive like a charm , nimb in the ruff, good turn, well balance. No complaints. This will be my buggy till Losi came out with something newer than the 2.0, That should be very soon . About the trugy it is +4mm longer if i can recall from losi website.

I picked up two 1.0 rollers for really cheap, I already had a 2.0, so I converted the 2.0 to electric and used all the 2.0 nitro parts for one of the 1.0 rollers and I think that the only difference was that I was able to throw the rear around with way more control with the 2.0 than the 1.0, but I still like the way it drives. it definitely gets work done on the track tho. not that much different imo

I love my buggy I practice alot,But I win alot It's all about tires,set-up,maintance,practice against a clock. You will see that you will beat anybody anywhere that does not have the same work ethic's that you have.Instead of spending my money on buggys.I spend most of my money on tires and pistons & sleeves, and conrods
