Default Simple Green and tires

Ok so i use simple green to clean the muck off my car and tires and i notice that once i rinse and blow dry my tires they are sticky to the point of nearly attaching them selves to each other is this from the simple green doing somehthing to the rubber? Is is ruining my tires?

Ya its the simple green. It is used also to soften compounds AKA traction compound. WD40 does the same thing. I would watch gettin your tires really wet if they are the old school foams, thee water tends to break down the foams.

The Simple Green removes all oils and coatings and makes your tires 'stickier', but won't ruin them. It doesn't actually change the chemical makeup of the rubber, or make the compound softer unless they are soaked in it for very long periods of time. WD-40 however, will change them fairly quickly because it is a petroleum based product, and rubber reacts to that by absorbing it.

Hope that helps...
