To my knowledge it isn't just and upgrade like the '10 version.. But a new design.. Just what I was told by a team driver of theirs, when I asked him why he wasn't racing a particular weekend...

FWIW, I actually like the cab forward buggy lid better than the cab forward truck lids out now...To me, they look nothing like a truck should.

I still own my 1/1 VW Bug based bar buggy. Built mine
as a two seater though. Ahh! the good ole days. I was
ten years old in '69 and my dad let me spend a hundred
dollars of my savings on a beat up '66 VW Bug. I drove
laps around the yard for a couple days and on the third
day, when dad pulled in the yard. The body was off and
I was driving the pan frame around holding the steering
wheel and column up off my lap. Dad made me spend the
rest of my money at the local welding shop on getting
the chassis shortened and a rollcage bent up and welded
on. Damn, I think I'm going to have to put together
an 1/8 scale barbuggy project now.

The more pics I see, the more I like it! And if there is a performance advantage(which there should be) it will be everywhere in no time!

More downforce means more traction, which means that you will be able to put more power down, which means higher speeds. It also means higher corner speed, which means more speed for the straight. Why do you think TF drag cars have those wings on them? Theyd be a hell of a lot slower with out them. Same idea.

Yea the more I look at them, I guess there like any
new style bodies in the past. There different but
with the effects that some great paint can give
them, they will grow to be accepted as the norm.
By the way, I still meen what I said about the ugly
fat chick.
