Still Fugly as hell.. but who care's... if they want to make buggies look odd and like mini buggy-truggies then so be it. But, I would like a average joe to test standard shell and this fugly thing.. and see if they notice a slight bit of a difference.. my guess is very minimal.. or next to 0. Pro's I can understand.. it MAY benefit more but for average joe's its another way to throw money at something...which im sure could be spent on something like fuel.. practice time.. ect then a shell that may be 1 second faster or so... my view..

This was the CLX prototype body, shown at the Nürnberg Toyfair 2009:

Talking with the guys on the GS stand they told that this body form helps by getting back on the wheels when rolling over. The shape and forward cab helps to get the car on it wheels during tumbling...

After the show they redesigned the body (a bit).

No one is forcing you to use one. It has nothing to do with making buggies look like truggies. It's about getting the most performance they can, and at the moment these are the shells that are. If the difference is anything like when truggy went this route it is quite a difference. The main point of these type of shells is to get more direct air flow over the wing. Therefore getting more down force and more traction in the turns. Yea you can get cooler motor temps, but it's not the main point to these shells. I completely agree about spending the money towards fuel and practice time first. It would be more beneficial to get more stick time then anything else. But if you need to get a new body anyways, and the performance gains are anything like the truggy. I don't see why you wouldn't go with this body even if you thinks it's ugly. If it was all about looks we would be running blinged out vehicles with aluminum everything, but thankfully it's not.

I know if I get my buggy going I will be looking hard at these shells since I need a new body anyways.

The more pictures I see the more I like it. All they really did was instead of going down at an angle in the back, they when straight down and across. Looks good, the buggy needed a change.
